Just finished a week of vacation. We spent 5 nights in Jasper and then a weekend at home in PG. It was great to have some time off and I feel rested and relaxed.

I'm on psychiatry now and on-call until 11pm, it's been quiet, so I'm at home and just waiting another 45 minutes before getting into my pj's. I've been having bad luck recently with last minute consults though, so no more using the "q" word to jinx things.

As a resident, you are supposed to be always really keen to learn, so I should be wishing something "interesting" comes in soon so I get the experience. It's true that I need to learn, but if you are close to getting a decent night's sleep, it's hard to not wish for a silent pager.
