I thought it would be better to just have this quote in video format. Scrubs is a pretty funny show, but it gets alot funnier when you start spending more time in hospital. I actually did get hi-fived today by the pediatric fellow, but not so directly about sex. It went something like this.
Me- 4mg folic acid (daily dose for women with a previous child with a neural tube defect)
Pediatric Fellow- (holds her hand in a vertical position at table height)
Me- Is that an invitation for a hi-five?
Pediatric Fellow- (looks at me sideways)
Me- Alright! (while giving her hi-five)
On the subject of hands striking against one another producing a pleasing sound, we went to see Bard on the Beach last night.....specifically The Taming of The Shrew. I had never seen any live Shakespeare performed before and have to admit- I was impressed. Everyone always goes on about how it is so brilliant and timeless but as a high school student, you don't really get what they are talking about. Anyhow, I got it. It was done in a spaghetti western style and was really quite hilarious. It was the last night of Bard on the Beach for the season and I think I enjoyed the sense of community and love of the arts more than anything else. It was great to see all these people who really, really love Shakespeare there, eating it up. This sort of event is really one of the only things that makes me think about living in a city long term.
